. TOPSHOP BOYFRIEND BLAZER .
A few years ago I quite literally lived in blazers, I tended to team them with anything & had a whole variety of colours and styles. Over the last two years I sort of stopped wearing them so much, I’m not sure whether it was a conscious decision or whether my taste and style just evolved, but I find myself ignoring my blazers in my wardrobe and instead opting for slightly more oversized jackets or fur outer layers. However after scanning through my ‘style inspiration’ pins on my pinterest (here if you’re interested) I started to realise I actually really liked the blazer look, but the difference between my blazers and then new style I was being drawn to was the fit. Previously my blazers had been slightly more on the fitted side of things, but it was actually the oversized, almost boyfriend fitting blazers that I was being drawn to.

So that’s perhaps what spurred me on to buy myself this perfectly oversized Topshop blazer. After strolling across it when browsing the Oxford St store and whipping it on I decided it was exactly what i’d been wanting. A classic grey colouring, super simple & slightly boyfriend esque in cut and style. And what would you know, since buying the blazer i’ve not stopped wearing it, it’s perfect with a boxy shirt and skinny jeans, but also a chic leather mini and billowy blouse. I’ve not chucked out my old blazers, after all a) i’m a hoarder, and b) you don’t know when they might come back in fashion. But for now, this blazer will be ticking all my outer layer boxes!
I styled the blazer last week with my James Jeans skinnies in slate, my Zara moccasins and my French Connection oversized shirt (which is near impossible to keep uncreased). I finished the look with a little fedora as there’s nothing like a fedora and boyfriend blazer combo right?
What do you think of this look and my venture into oversized blazers?

I, too, used to be all about blazers a few years back but I suppose my style started leaning towards more relaxed pieces and they’re mostly folded up somewhere in my closet now. But I still absolutely love the look of them! And I really like your styling of this :)
