I’ve done quite a few outfit posts recently wearing a variety of shorts, dressed down, and styled for our non British summer. I thought it was about time I shared another way I style these, and that’s in a more smart, dressy way for work. I don’t really have a work and weekend wardrobe I mix it all up and find using jackets / shoes can really transform an outfits look. Adding a blazer and some wedges to this look made it perfect for work this week, and a complete transformation to the casual look I posted here.

So despite putting my self on spending ban (attempting to inflict one, I should say), yesterday I accidentally managed to spend a mini fortune in Zara. Oh OOPS. For a while now I’ve been searching for either a cream leather jacket or a Chanel esque blazer – as you may notice I do live in blazers so I thought it’d be a worthy addition. The only problem I suppose is that these are so expensive, so I’ve sort of held off a little (especially given I just bought my bag). Anyway, yesterday my control slipped again and I found the perfect jacket from Zara, cream with gold button details and a perfect fit. It was £80 which I decided was okay, if I over shadowed the cost with other items (no logic I appreciate).
So in my quest to not acknowledge the £80 price tag, I decided to treat myself to a couple of other amazing finds – a print playsuit and a pair of navy skinny jeans (each £30 a pop) and additionally THE H&M necklace which every blogger under the sun has been after. So yes, total bill £150 … but a selection of AMAZING pieces. Needless to say, post handing over my card I swiftly left the shopping centre as I hit panic / guilt mode. haha.
I’ll be sharing some outfit posts with my new items shortly so keep your eyes peeled :)
What do you think of this outfit styled more smartly? Do you prefer the casual or dressy look?
Ps: You can still nominate me for the Cosmo blog awards (here) if you feel so inclined (I’D LOVE YOU FORVER), I’d come under Best Newcomer or New fashion blog :)
