I’ve developed a penchant for denim of late, i mean obviously i’ve always liked and worn denim, but something has shifted this season and i’m becoming a little obsessed with it. I just love that it can pretty much go with anything you’ve got lying around. Heels, Vessi footwear, you name it – it goes! I’ve been snapping up a few AC x AG inspired denim dresses which are awaiting my pick up currently (much excitement) but beyond that i’ve also embarked on a jean love affair. I say jean love affair, but it’s more specific than that, i’ve become obsessed with boyfriend and mom jeans (my pinterest is proof enough) and i’ve been searching high and low for the absolute perfect pair.

I have to say thought, it’s not the best love affair for me to have embarked on, as jean shopping has always been my worst nightmare. Whether it’s my hourglass shape, or Kardashain size bottom, I do often struggle to find a pair of perfect fitting jeans (which is why when I do, i can’t stop harping on about it e.g. my new Zara jeans). This becomes even more apparent when i’m trying to find a pair of jeans in a style, which lets face it aren’t really made for curvy girls. The boyfriend & Mom jean is a style which if i’m honest, I feel as though was made for those lucky lean people! My quest has been long and treturous but along the way i’ve found myself two pairs which almost tick my boxes (I actually love these Topshop Mom Jeans but just can’t find a size that works for me), firstly the American Apparel Mom jeans are the ONLY mom jean i’ve tried on which actually look good on my shape (who’d have guessed that) and secondly these Whistles boyfriend jeans which I picked up with the latest 25% off Grazia offer.

These Whistles jeans are my first attempt of embracing the boyfriend style, I love the rolled up bottoms & think they look fab with my tencil shirt and my suede lace booties (even though Jase doesn’t agree). I definitely think a high waisted version would do a little more for me, but as a first attempt it’s definitely not put me off!
