. PATENT MINI & PONY HAIR BOOTS.
Fashion Week, an event that most bloggers live for, but inevitably given I work full time and juggle my daily blog, most years I end up missing it all for some reason or another. Poor effort I know, but this season I was determined to at least make one of the events I was invited to, and quite naturally Jimmy Choo was too good to miss. Last night I drove back from a weekend in Winchester just in time to head along to a rather fabulous store opening for Jimmy Choo on Bond Street. Greeted with bubbles and a whole array of infamous bloggers (Kristina from Kayture, Sandra from 5 Inch & Up, Peony Lim to name a small few), it was an event I’m glad I managed to squeeze in, if only for an hour of manicures, shoe admiring and brief introductions to other bloggers at the event!
. ZARA PATENT MINI SKIRT £25.99 . OFFICE MERCY CHELSEA PONY ANKLE BOOTS £90 .
. CELINE NANO . FRENCH CONNECTION SHIRT £69 .
I always find dressing for events kinda weird, often feeling the urge to ‘dress up’ but ultimately hate feeling uncomfortable or exposed in what i’m wearing. This in it’s own right is rather amusing, given I write a personal style blog, it should be the clothes I sport on a daily basis that I continue to wear for shows and events right? So that’s what i did. I kept things very ‘normal’ and sported a typical kinda look, leather mini, pretty blouse & ankle boots!
My leather mini is a cheeky little patent number from Zara (who would have guessed), a perfect fitting mini skirt & I love that the patent leather gives the skirt a little more of a glam edge. I teamed the mini with my French Connection oversized white shirt (i tried throwing it on over the top, but seriously, I just can’t rock that look), and finally finished off the outfit with my new beautiful pony hair ankle boots from Office which I was fortunate enough to get specifically for LFW this season. I actually also sported a brand new cream fur coat to the event (which caused a whole lot of sweating) but i’ll be sharing that on my blog shortly with you all!
Have you done any Fashion Weeks this year? What’s your style tricks for events and shows?
