Can you believe we’re still seeing snow in the UK? These photos were actually taken a couple of weeks ago when we had the big burst of snow, but I wanted to show an outfit I wore in the snowy weather to prove it doesn’t have to be winter warmers and ugg boots as soon as it gets a bit nippy – that said, I clearly added a huge fur coat and wooly accessories to this outfit until I made it safely into the office. Oh and my hunters too.
So even though it was mega cold and snowy, I was so desperate to wear my new skirt and top that I didn’t let the minus temperatures and ice rink roads stop me. Fool or not. I wanted to wear it too much. This skirt and top are a couple of my latest purchases (well this year at least) which I picked up on a total whim, but were both actually items I’d been searching for in some shape or form for months. I’d wanted a real leather pencil skirt for ages, but struggled to find one that looked slightly smarter and classier. I was surprised to find this skirt in H&M when browsing in Selfridges, and at £60 I snapped it up instantly. The top is just one of those effortless items that are great for throwing on with any kind of outfit, I bought a Zara black version this weekend too.
I’ve worn this skirt a number of times since this outfit, dressed up more (with a smart silk blouse) and also dressed down (big knit jumper – see Sundays post) and am so happy I bought it. Well worth every penny.

Despite being super busy, I’ve been spending quite a bit of time trying to give my blog a little shape up. A few months ago I was really satisfied with my blog design, but in the last month or so have started to get a little bored of it. As such, i’ve been losing hours sat studying html and css and have managed to make a few ‘small’ tweaks (although they didn’t feel small when spending hours lost trying to do it) which has made me feel much happier with it’s look. I finally managed to get a centre justified page list with a border on top (this has taken me months to get right) and secondly i’ve added some social pins which I made in photoshop to my blog to make it really easy to follow me. I removed the old side bar links (with the advise of Jase) to make it a little tidier – so hopefully people won’t be confused by the reshuffle.
It’s taken me a really long time to get this done – im sure some whizz kids would find it super easy, but i’ve taken days and weeks to get it sorted, but trial and error and working hard to sort it has made me super proud of myself and i’m quite glad I’ve managed to do it all myself. hoorah. There’s still a few tweaks I want to make but am at another sticking point so will probably leave those for a while.
I’d absolutely LOVE to know what you think of my slight redesign, what you think of the buttons and pages etc? Oh and what you think of the outfit of course too – are you a fan of the leather pencil skirt?

You look lovely in monochrome! The weather is a little mental at the moment! One minute it was feeling like spring and the next there’s so much snow! wah! I’m definitely looking forward to warmer weather x
