. ASOS NAVY CREPE TROUSERS .
I never thought i’d become one of those people, but seemingly i’m making it one step closer each purchase at a time. As a shopper I always thought I was rather adventurous, definitely frivolous, but always shopping with variety. I think my wardrobe would prove that, each item a unique and individual item. However, something seems to have happened over the last year, i’m becoming one of those people. Like the basketball stars featured on cribs … with one item in every possible colour, and 5 of the same items of clothing which are different only just by the label in their collar. Variety is the spice of life, for sure, but something’s happened and I now own the same pair of trousers in 4 colours …
. ASOS TROUSERS IN CREPE £28 . REISS AMAR BLAZER . PHILLIP LIM PASHLI MEDIUM IN STORM .
I’ve mentioned before (many a time in fact) about my quest for the perfect cigarette trouser and how mostly it ends in dreams being shattered and a look of disdain as i stair at myself in the mirror wondering how one human could possibly look so awful in such a garment … anyhow, many months of searching later I happen to have found myself not just one, but two pairs of cigarette trousers that seem as though they were made for me. Firstly my ASOS cigarette trousers (which I bought in cream & duck egg blue back in Spring) and second my COS trousers which are reigning champions in all things cigarette trouser. I’ve never really been a repeat purchaser, what’s the point? But there was just something about finding the perfect fit trouser that kept me wanting more, more of them, in every colour possible. After all a cream pair of trousers is very different to a navy pair right? Right. So I bought the ASOS cigarette trouser in black and navy too! In all fairness, the black version got sent back (bad quality pair), but the navy stole my heart immediately, another perfect, comfy fit, great cut, great colour, great price tag pair of trousers. Now forming a rainbow collection of cigarette trousers in my wardrobe.
These pantaloons arrived just in time before I jetted off on holiday and so made it into my suitcase. They’re perfect teamed with a simple cami & some pumps, the ideal evening out look for a dinner in Abu Dhabi city. The finishing touches for modesty and warmth (seriously, the malls & inside are freezing here) was my Reiss AMAR blazer & of course Mr Lim is still hanging dutifully on my arm. My new pride and glory looking fabulous and completing each look perfectly.
Are you a repeat purchaser, are you guilty of buying the same thing in multiple colours / styles / cuts? Please say it’s not just me!

I’ve never bought anything other than cami tops in multiple different colours, but I’m so guilty of finding one style of dress or top and buying as many as possible in a short amount of time and then being left with a very samey samey wardrobe :/ I love those trousers on you, they suit you brilliantly!
