Sometimes workwear can be a little boring, at least it’s easy for it to fall into the trap of being boring. Seeing as we spend most our week in work and in our work wear, dressing in clothes I love is very important to me. As i’ve mentioned before on my blog, I don’t have a work and non-work wardrobe, I buy the clothes I love and style them for whichever occasion I need to.
. ZARA LEATHER MIDI . ZARA ASYMMETRICAL PUMPS . DOROTHY PERKINS CAMI .
This midi skirt is a fab number I picked up in Zara last summer and one that I absolutely loved but didn’t really know how I’d ever wear it. I bought it for lust but am pleased to say that I actually have got some good wear out of it, and not that i’d have ever thought it, but one of those occasions is work. Given the skirt is a shimmery leather number, it’s not something you’d immediately think was suitable for work, but teamed with a pair of slinky stilettos and a simple cami, it was work perfect. The midi length keeps the skirt sophisticated and chic, and the simple styling downplays the bold material & colours. It’s an outfit I really love & it’s one of my favourite ways to wear this kind of skirt.
