Lipstick is seemingly the talk of the moment with Kate Spades amazing new range (see here), some blogger lipstick collaborations and just general loving of all things lippy. I keep trying on bright colours, bought a few ‘daring’ shades (see here), lusted over Chanel Coco Rouge in No.31 (see here). But truth be told, it looks flippin’ awful on me. DAMN IT. No matter how much I try different shades, nothing seems to actually look glamorous and pretty. The colour pop pinks and deep rich reds seem to just highlight my slightly thin lips, wonky smile and not so perfect teeth. Gutted is an understatement, but I shall keep on trying and maybe one day I will find the perfect shade which doesn’t make me look like a 6 year old kid who’s raided her mums makeup bag. In the mean time, I am going to be sticking to this.
This is a Calvin Klein lip stick which is surprising in itself (I hadn’t really thought of CK as a lipstick brand) and is a very subtle but deep rose colour. It looks really cute on and compliments blushed cheeks perfectly. I actually got it for Christmas as a present, but its the perfect shade for me and I am sporting it daily at the moment.
Here’s also a quick snap, totally unrelated of the view from our chalet over Val D’Isere, you can see the Eagle covered in snow in the forefront. Gorgeous views. We leave on Sunday so I’ll be back to reality soon (too soon).
What lipstick do you live by? Can you work the bold lip colours, or am I not the only ont struggling to pull of the look?

I have the same problem, none I’ve tried really suit me! I have thin lips so maybe that’s why, I don’t know. Very annoying though!

I find it so hard finding good lipsticks. In my most recent post I’m wearing Rimmel starry eyed. It’s super dark but lasts really well. I usually use benefit but they’re easily smudged and tend to take a while to dry xx

Love the color, it’s so pretty. The two I wear most often is Mac Viva Glam Gaga I and Revlon Colorburst Soft Nude. I wear Nars Turkish Delight lipgloss over both of those! I can’t pull of reds or bright colors either. Light pinks and nude colors are all that I wear, and I have to be careful with that or I look washed out.
