As a young girl, it’s almost gospel that you love the colour pink & boys love the colour blue. Society clearly reinforces this, so it’s hard not to fall into these social norms. Anyhow, as a teenager, I actually loved the colour blue, I don’t think it was a rebellious or a tom boy thing, I just really liked pastel blues & turquoise shades. But as I’ve grown up, I’ve ironically (?) become obsessed with the colour pink. I love pink nail vanish, my room has a bright pink wall, I like pink accessories & note pads, cushions, flowers (you get the picture). Every now and then I also embrace it with my clothes too, think Neon pink Topshop jumper, Zara Necklace & bright pink denim shorts, and now to add to my collection this cute barbie pink shift dress.
The colour of this dress is perhaps even better in real life, it’s vibrant, but not garish, the only way really to describe it is a subtle ‘barbie’ or ‘bubble gum’ pink. I recently got this from Sheinside, and was so chuffed when it arrived, as it really lived up to the images online. It’s actually a shift dress with side pockets, however I decided to wear it with a belt to make it a little more fitted, albeit I probably will wear this loose mostly going forward.
. Shesinde Pink Dress C/O) £23 . Tribeca Heels (C/O) £28 . Topshop Tan Belt . H&M Necklace .
I decided as the dress is fairly bold, that I’d style it with quite neutral accessories, introducing THE H&M bead necklace in dusty pink & my new nude Tribeca heels. This is another outfit i’m going to packing in my suitcase ready for my trip to the sun sea and sand … in 7 days time. woop.
Also, just wanted to say thanks for all your comments and advice yesterday about scheduling posts for whilst i’m away. I’ve had quite a few ideas already for some posts and so am going to schedule a few just in case. I think i’ll take my laptop with me also, as I’d love to try and post a couple of holiday outfits whilst i’m away if the wifi costs aren’t too ridiculous :)
What do you think of this super girly dress & the styling of it? How would you wear this?

I love this outfit!! This shade of pink really suits you1 I’d wear it with a navy blue blazer, a long necklace with a stone or something on it and then some heels, maybe some high nude or black court shoes.
