. PRETTY LITTLE THING .
Todays post is a little bit of everything, I’ve not done a ‘life round up’ post in a while and given i’ve rediscovered my macro lens it also gives me a good opportunity to take some pretty pictures. I’ve got a few from this weekend (so far) and also a little Instagram round up.
It was my mum and stepdads 22nd year anniversary this week, so I had my mum sent some gorgeous seasonal flowers from The Great British Florist. They do a wide range of bouquets – wedding flowers*, seasonal bouquets and posies* etc. But I thought that a nice seasonal bouquet would be lovely, and also a little unique too. My mum was really happy with the flowers and completely surprised too :)
And it would seem Karma swings in roundabouts, as not only did I surprise my mum with flowers, when I arrived home yesterday for the first time since Christmas I walked into my room to the biggest surprise ever. My mum had completely redecorated my bedroom, not merely painted but also decorated a wall with the most beautiful Laura Ashley wallpaper, put bunches of roses in the room AND bought me a brand new bed & some new covers using great home shopping catalogues*. Basically despite the fact I live and work in London a lot, I come home all the time to see my family and sisters. Winchester is only an hour from London so I come back every other weekend. We love in a cute village and my room (as I have 2 sisters and live away from home) is the little room. When Jase and I stay we used to snuggle in my single bed and have to be super tidy to give us room. But my mum (being the legend she is) has bought us a single bed that converts into a king size bed when you pull it out properly – it’s absolutely perfect for my room. I almost cried when I’d seen what she’d done. I love it. I’ll try and share some more pics soon :)
Last night was a super cosy one, it’s always tiring after a week at work and a long drive home back to Winchester. So thanks to Costa Bingo*, my family and I spent the night munching on yummy food, playing a cheeky game of bingo (you can imagine the fun of this) followed by some movie time. Who can’t resist watching Daniel Craig as Bond … swoon.
This morning has so far been spent visiting the dentist for a check in on how my Invisalign treatment is going – I’m just about half way through now. Followed by some yummy brunch and some outfit pics in the sunshine. Jase and I are now about to take a drive to the coast (maybe even roof down in my beetle) to splash around in the sea and have some tea and coffee :)
I purchased this cute little jewellery bowl today in Hambledons (a very cute store in Winchester selling amazing home wear, beauty and clothes). it’s usually hugely expensive, but this gem was £3.95, a total bargain in my mind. I actually bought two – one for my room in London and one for my room in Winchester. It’s a cute little addition I think.
Now you also can’t do a weekly round up post unless it includes some instagram snaps right – so here’s a few of my pics from the last few weeks. I won’t go into details as there’s a fair few but a few things to highlight would be my amazing DSquared sunnies (see here) which I got a few weeks ago (and will be wearing today), my Cowshed Manicure which i had last week, they used Essie Too Too Hot. I also did a cheeky bit of Selfridges shopping and got an amazing leather skirt – outfit post to come shortly featuring that. I’ve been wearing it loads. I also went to see Les Mis last weekend which was absolutely amazing and also saw Viva Forever which is great for a very camp / girly singlong. You can also see my new hair (the good version) above too :)
So there you go – a little round up of all things mediamarmalade. If you don’t yet follow me on instagram then you can do HERE to keep up to date with my life.
What do you have planned this weekend? Will you be making the most of this gorgeous weather too?
