Bringing It Back

March 25, 2013

I’M BACK … and to be honest, pretty sad about it too. I am already seriously missing the sunshine and it’s only been a few hours. A week away in Egypt was absolutely incredible for some serious R&R, plus who doesn’t love 30-35 degree heat and a tanned tum at the end of it all. I’ve got lots of pics from my week away but for todays post wanted to share an outfit I wore before I went on hols because it’s a dress I’ve fallen back in love with big time (I can also confirm I am no longer this translucent in colour now).
I got this dress from Romwe last summer and wore it a little bit on holiday and in the summer months. Since then it’s been tucked away in my wardrobe and being honest – forgotten about. Before I went away I was rummaging through all my clothes making a huge pile for ebay / selling (see here) and rediscovered this beaut. It’s a really simple, understated LBD but has a couple of design tweaks that make it look a little more special than a simple shift dress – cut out sides, buttoned back, and a very cute neckline.

. ROMWE LBD (old) . AX Paris Ankle Boots . Accessorize Necklace (old) . H&M Gold Bracelet .
. Michael Kors Watch . Primark Earings .
Obviously this is something I wore before my holiday, in the UK weather, and so I styled it for a nippy climate with thick black tights. I also added a big knitted cardigan to the outfit when I went out as lets face it, the UK is not naked skin friendly right now. On holiday however, I whipped it all off and went for nakey legs and arms and it made a perfect evening dress too.
I love styling a simple outfit with bold accessories, and this Accessorize necklace and chunky gold bracelet are two of my go to items right now. They go with everything but really add a bit of bling to an outfit.
What do you think of this outfit and my old school LBD? Do you have any items you’ve rediscovered recently? How would you wear this for spring?
