The Road To Alabama

Now if only I had taken these pictures post holiday with my tan. Damn. Before I went away on holiday I started thinking about my holiday outfits and dreaming about my summer wardrobe coming out to play again. I don’t really plan outfits per se, more throw it all together and lucky dip each item, but I did pick out some of my fave dresses to come on hol with me, this was one of them.
This dress is a rather new addition to my wardrobe and a fab item I recently got from Lavish Alice.  I absolutely love the lace and beaded detailing on the dress, it makes it a little more special and  gives it a bit of a glam edge , and the white colour is perfect for summer and great for contrasting against a summer tan (I know this must seem a wild dream in the UK right now for most people). BUT, now I do have a tan (I promise i’ll prove it too with some holiday / post holiday outfits) this dress is perfect for showing it off :)

On holiday (or in the summer) the dress looks fab styled with little sandals, a floppy summer fedora (or curly hair pinned up with a pretty flower) and  a cute colourful satchel. Dresses like this are always a real fave of mine as they are easily styled for winter or summer just by adjusting the accessories. Given the weather back here in the UK though, I’d suggest a cosy knitted cardigan, thick tights and a pair of suede ankle boots if you’re looking for a day time look.
