Outfit

ONE OF MY OWN

June 15, 2013

. DIY DRESS .

So as promised on my little DIY post I featured here, todays post is the full outfit post with my very own DIY dress. It’s actually tons of fun creating your own clothes and giving them a unique twist and the dip dye itself was so so simple. Here’s what I made …
The dip dye gives the dress a really unique twist and actually works quite well with the simple black style of the maxi. The colours are as a result of the fact it was bleach on top of a totally black garment, and I quite like the colours created. The whiter areas are where I’ve just added more bleach.
For this outfit I simply added some black heels to finish the dress off, a pair of sandals would have looked equally good and just made the dress slightly more day time suitable. It’s a great dress for a weekend or holiday outfit, even perfect for a festival (IOW this weekend!!).
What do you think of my Dip Dye creation? Have you created any DIY items of clothing?
