WHEN IT ALL COMES TOGETHER

It’s been a bit of a busy old time lately and i’m now ill for the second time in nearly a month which truly sucks … when you’re feeling a little warn out and down in the dumps a thoughtful surprise can seriously make your day / week / month. Monday this happened to me …

Completely out of the blue I came home to a little parcel, as a blogger this happens frequently, but i always know that a parcel is on it’s way. However this little parcel was a total surprise, a truly unexpected delivery, and a real exciting treat. It felt a bit like being bought a bunch of flowers, a real meaningful gift. When I excitedly opened up my present I soon realised it was from one of my favourite shoe brand Daniel Footwear sending me a special thank you gift for being a true fan and supporting them over the last year or so.  It was such an unexpected but unbelievably sweet and generous gift that it really made my day and meant so much to me.

Not only was the thought and whole notion so lovely and kind, the shoes they chose me were just gorgeous and a real sign that the lovely Jess knows my style through and through. I coudn’t have picked a better pair myself. In fact, having received these Monday night … I wore them yesterday, that’s how much I adored them. Comfy, chic and sophisticated – the perfect summer pump. I’m so chuffed with my gift, it really made feel special and perked up my poorly self.  When someone takes a moment to do something special for you, it really does mean the world.

So not only did Monday include these gorgeous little pumps, it also consisted of me treating myself / investing in the Canon F1.4 lens which I’d been eyeing up this last week. Having had the bad luck of my F1.8 lens breaking suddenly, I decided to take the opportunity to upgrade my lens to the very rated 1.4. The above pictures were my first chance to play around with the lens and i have to say, it’s absolutely magical. It’s such good quality and the images are just stunning. Whilst my F1.8 was brilliant and a real bargain in relative terms, you can definitely notice the difference upgrading to the 1.4. I can’t wait to take more pics this weekend :)
