. REISS LEATHER & JAMES JEANS IN SLATE .
One thing I love, a lot, about a leather jacket is it’s relative simplicity and the kinda effortless vibe it can create, whilst still looking utterly awesome. Whilst my pinterest style inspiration board is jam packed full of leather jacket styled looks (usually skinnies, big tee & leather jacket, with chunky ankle boots), my own personal styling is a WIP. I became so accustomed to oversized coats and duster lengths, that re working my wardrobe and ensembles to style in my new leather jacket has been quite the experiment (with this look & this look being my favourite to date).
. REISS LEATHER SHEENA JACKET . WHISTLES PATENT & PONY LOAFERS . JAMES JEANS SKINNY JEANS IN SLATE . TOPSHOP WHITE SHIRT . CELINE NANO .
But in true leather jacket style, this weekend I sported my jacket in a far more basic way, teamed with a simple slate skinny jean (these James Jeans are one of my favourite pairs of jeans, a super comfy fit), my Whistles loafers (still wearing these ones in, ahem) & a basic white shirt. The ensemble is low key but the perfect day time look and even something you could wear to work too!
These Whistles loafers are something I picked up in the sale, reduced down to £100 after Christmas. The loafer is everything I want in a flat pump, and the pony hair detailing makes the shoe a little more statement! i’m in the process of trying to wear them in right now, as the patent leather means they’re extremely tight! Have you got any tips for wearing in shoes?
I’d love to discover more ways to incorporate my jacket into my looks, so make sure you send me any inspiration or looks you’ve pulled together with a statement leather jacket!

I like the green leather as it’s softer and easier to wear when brightening up an outfit, brilliant when you find wearing black hard (i know, mental)

Masculine dressing is the best in winter – you can wear thermals under all those layers and noone would know – and that sea foam green jacket is to die for! x

That’s the kind of outfit which I wear on a very regular basis (though with derby shoes instead of loafers), but I actually never considered it “boyish” :) I love wearing my leather jacket with dresses/skirts, to really make a strong contrast in the outfit!
