. ZARA SS15 SUEDE HEELS .
I love a simple denim & knit combination, it’s the ultimate in easy style, it’s effortless, comfortable and if done well, can be chic too! Of course the combination can be styled down for everyday wear, you know the look, oversized knit, boyfriend jeans and a pair of well worn white converse, but equally it can also be dressed up for a slightly more smart, evening occasion … I’m a fan of both and frequently do the whole dress up thing for dinner dates with Jase or a casual pub date with friends. For me the ultimate trick in transitioning your ensemble is in accessorising. Adding a pop of leather (a designer clutch or statement tote), popping on a leg elongating heel (pumps for a smart night out, heeled boots for an understated sort of look), and maybe if you’re feeling adventurous a bold red lip & a cheeky fedora.

I sported this look at the weekend as Jase and I had a few dinner plans and given my latest shopping haul I had a few newbies I wanted to test road. In fact … the entire outfit. I’ve been giving my wardrobe a bit of a spring overhaul and ordered these three items from Zara last week. The ripped denim jeans were also featured in yesterday’s post (here) and are just the most wonderful fitting, comfiest denim jeans I own, the knit jumper was the perfect accompaniment, and caught my eye because of it’s slit edges which i thought would look brilliant in Spring / Summer with high waist cut offs or a post beach throw on (plus it’s a little different to the standard winter knit). But let’s be honest the piece de resistance in this look has to be my new suede lace up heels which are a little left field but so cool. I’m a big ankle boot wearer, and these burgundy suede ankle boot come heels are a fab twist on the standard style. They add a little more va va voom to a look and are the perfect alternative to the chunky ankle boot or pointy pump! I’m in love!
Are you starting to transition your wardrobe into Spring Summer mode yet? What do you think of these suede heels?
