THE SLEEVELESS TRENCH

March 6, 2015

French Connection Trench Coat

. THE FRENCH CONNECTION SLEEVELESS TRENCH .

This week seems to be the week of a) serious shopping (seriously i’ve lost all control and have now ordered about 12 spring items), b) trench coat lust! I spent much of ‘My Favourite Trench Coat‘ post harping on about all the multiple trench coats i’ve fallen in love with but also of course my love for those I already have. Whilst this specific number isn’t quite a trench, it certainly has the same effect. This sleeveless trench coat is something I picked up from French Connection last year and an item I really love, not least for it’s Navy blue colouring which is something I seem to be really coveting right now!

. FRENCH CONNECTION SLEEVELESS TRENCH (SIMILAR) . ZARA JEANS . WHISTLES LOAFERS . COS SWEATER . PAULS BOUTIQUE CLUTCH .

Given Navy blue is seemingly my colour of choice right now, I decided to do a whole top to toe look of the colour! A twist on the staple all black! I teamed my French Connection sleeveless trench with my Zara skinnies and my Cos textured sweater. I couldn’t quite resist adding a pop of additional colour to the ensemble and this clutch from Pauls Boutique offered the perfect shimmery finish. What I particularly like about this flash little accessory is that it’s reversible, so you can also turn it inside out to have a more neutral nude toned clutch! Clever eh!

I’ve seriously got that Friday feeling, and I could not be more ready for the weekend ahead and a little escape from the big smoke to the west country … plus of course test road all of my new purchases. I can’t wait to share them all on here soon, i’ve bought some serious gems (here’s a few sneak peaks – Dress / Skirt / Jeans / Jumper / Shirt) :D

What are your weekend plans? Are you a fan of this twist on the staple trench design?

I love the layering, and the trench is a great way to keep warm on the cooller spring days but still look chic without sleeves
