CHIC WORKWEAR THAT WON’T BREAK THE BANK

March 21, 2017

UP YOUR WORK WEAR GAME WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK

Now you all know that I love designer, my bag collection is enough to scare off any mortgage lender i’m sure, but truth be told, when it comes to my clothing i’m far more of a savvy shopper and love to mix high end with high street. My favourite stores if you hadn’t already guessed from the mediamarmalade style archives & my shop pages are Zara, Cos, Jigsaw & Whistles, and I’m always mixing my Mango & Reiss pieces with my classics from the likes of Chloe, Chanel, Hermes & Celine.

For me the high street offers the perfect opportunity to keep my wardrobe fresh and modern, and my designer pieces or luxury buys their classic counterpart.

So without further ado, I wanted to share a little everyday office outfit with you today. A look that i’m loving for work right now and one that (excluding accessories) cost little more than £100. The ensemble provides the perfect mix & match opportunity with other pieces in my wardrobe, and is perfect for work and play (another critical criteria for my purchases to deliver against). I always like to maximise my purchases, so ensuring they can deliver against more than one ensemble is a must.

The new spring buys i’ve featured in todays look deliver just that. These Pinstripe Zara trousers are an absolute favourite and something I’ve already worn tons for work but also on weekends, they were an absolute bargain at £30 and I even have a green pair too. For an office friendly look I love them teamed with a classic breton top, this one is another new purchase from Zara – a brand that I rely on heavily and adore for it’s on trend based yet affordable collections. As always I lean on my investment accessories to add that final touch and a chic oversized tailor gives it that professional edge (versus say a knitted jumper which I would probably go for otherwise). The look is simple, understated, professional, yet wildly affordable. The perfect combination don’t you think?

Love this look. Currently trying to rebuild my work wardrobe before I return from Maternity leave. I love these shoes! How easy are they to walk in though? Do they slip off your feet?

This really is the perfect office look, and I love Zara for basic pieces like these! Might have fallen in love with the trousers a little bit, Zara has so many nice pairs of trousers right now xx
