A SPRING STYLE REFRESH & THE SLOGAN SWEATER MUSE
The joy is real right now people, Spring is officially rearing it’s sleepy head, there’s blossom on trees and my wardrobe and daily attires are getting a seasonal spruce up. Any excuse my friends, any excuse. I absolutely love Spring, in fact it could well be one of my favourite seasons, although i’m sure inevitably I end up writing that about every season. But Spring just puts a bounce in your step, the return of sunshine is like a religious resurection, and my daily life just gets all that much better.
This weekend Jase and I woke early, popped out for coffee, took a morning scroll in Kew Gardens and relaxed over a tasty brunch in our new favourite local restaurant, sipping ice coffee and scoffing sweet corn fritters and avocado. Perfection in my books.
But it’s not just the longer days and warmer weather, it’s the change in my style that really reignites my excitement and passion for getting dressed (and shopping ahem). Spring brings colour, a reduction in layers, open toes and even bare legs. For me it opens up so many more outfit opportunities and I generally just enjoy dressing for the season that little bit more.
This spring there’s one trend that I’m coveting in a big way already (nothing new I should add), and that’s the slogan top. I’ve always been a fan of a slogan tee, and am a huge covet-er of Whistle’s slogan tee and sweaters (I have most of them scarily), but this season I’ve added something a little more unique to my slogan collection, in this Mayo sweater from my favourite boutique home and clothing store, The Hambledon. What do you think? I’m also loving the Bella Feud collection which i’ve linked above encase you too fancy adding a little oomph into your spring wardrobe.
