The Wool Version Your Wardrobe Will Love

I’m a huge advocate of the blazer, boyfriend blazers and oversized cuts are always my go to and I can’t imagine ever opting for something tailored. My collection is pretty big these days, but it’s always tricky when you’re wanting to rock a blazer but you need a coat too because the weather has dropped a little (read: today). I’ve tried the double layering multiple times before, sometimes it works, other times I think It can look a bit weird with the multitude of lengths of the garments your layering (anyone else find this?).

That is where my latest outerwear addition comes in perfectly. Your classic boyfriend blazer in a chic black colour … but on first glimpse it’s difficult to note this simple blazer is in fact made of thick wool and unbelievably cosy as a result. An upgrade to the boyfriend blazer, because this is in fact a jacket in disguise. This jacket is the kind of thing I rely on and live in during these spring months, where from one day to the next the weather can change so significantly.

This week at work we’re heading for a two day off site work shop as a management board, we’re actually heading back here which will be nice (albeit it’ll be hard work and long days rather than a chilled staycation this time around), and this outfit is most likely what I’m going to wear for the occasion. Casual for an offsite workshop, but the blazer does well to smarten the look a little.

I’m facing  a really busy time at work at the moment, well in fact this year so far has been pretty pacey, so I feel like i haven’t been able to spend that much time browsing blogs and working on my own like I used to, but i’ve got some really nice new spring pieces that i’ve invested in lately which I can’t wait to share in more style posts (it was so nice to hear so many of you are up for more of these outfit posts again – back to the heartland somewhat) and I’ve still got so many ideas for my site I want to implement. I’m always striving for more with this little place on the web, and I have some nice builds which I think will give it a little freshen up and appease my nagging mind.
