    SUMMER SATCHEL

. DKNY TRIBECA CROSS BODY BAG .

I’ve always been known as the ‘bag lady’ to my family, so it’s only fair I live up to my nickname, and today i’m doing just that by sharing another new bag, this time a little seasonal number from DKNY …
This cobalt blue satchel is absolute summer perfection and is already tee’d up to be my ultimate day time summer companion. I love a good shoulder bag at the best of times and this DKNY number from Harvey Nichols (how cute is the packaging) is currently ticking all my boxes. It’s actually the same bag I styled as a clutch in my John Lewis shoot here, but this time in a gorgeous cobalt blue colour. I can’t wait to style it up with all my summer outfits … now all we need is the bloomin’ sun to come back out. We can wish!

What do you think of this new cobalt blue DKNY number? Have you checked out their SS14 collection?

    . SPRING SUMMER ACCESSORIES .

Just before Christmas I did a little series called ‘The Edit’, it featured my ‘go to’ accessories of the season, and seeing as I seem to have grown my accessories collection by triple this Spring, I thought i’d share my SS edit, featuring all my favourite new accessories.

. CELINE NANO . DANIEL WELLINGTON WATCH . ASOS FEDORA . ASOS  PUMPS .

This collection of accessories has formed a key part of my Spring wardrobe. I didn’t’ actively seek seasonal accessories, but when I spotted each of these I fell in love immediately and haven’t stopped wearing them since. If you’ve not already noticed?

The pumps featured above are one of two new pairs I’ve bought this season. These are a gorgeous nude bargain from ASOS which I treated myself to not long ago after they went in the sale. They’re uber comfortable and the perfect spring pump. The second pump I bought this season was my Zara navy patent asymmetrical pumps which I’ve featured here and here. They’re a little less seasonal but are still a Spring favourite of mine.
You’ll all know about the Celine bag by now, given i’ve not stopped blogging / talking / singing / shouting about it since I took the big step and splurged on the beauty. It’s my most expensive investment piece (aside from my Car and Camera) and I couldn’t be more excited about it. If you’ve somehow missed the constant chat about my new Nano, you can check it out here.

If you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll have no doubt noticed my Daniel Wellington watch in pretty much every single outfit post since Christmas. Jase bought me the St Andrews watch for Christmas this year and I was so totally over the moon, i’ve not taken it off since. But i’ve recently expanded my collection to include the Sheffield too (above), thanks Daniel Wellington for the unbelievable treat. The two watches are exactly the same but different colour straps, the sheffield sports a swish black leather strap making it slightly more ‘evening’ wear than my favourite, the St Andrews (tan leather strap).

The final Spring accessory i’m coveting right now is my ASOS lilac fedora, i’ve been a fan of the fedora for years, but this new pastel tone version is a real contrast to my more ‘basic’ collection and has become a firm favourite of mine. The colour is sublime and so perfect for Spring Summer.

What accessories are you coveting this spring? What do you think of my EDIT?

    . CIGARETTE TROUSERS & DUSTER COAT .

Today is mine and Jase’s six year anniversary, madness I know, so we’ve both booked the day off work to spend our Friday having fun in the sun (stormy skies). We’ve decided to catch a train to Brighton and spend the day exploring the beach town & checking out it’s infamous hot spots. I’ve not been in years so i’m really looking forward to the day out.
. ASOS TROUSERS . TOPSHOP BRETON TOP . ASOS DUSTER COAT . ASOS PUMPS . CELINE NANO BAG .
    . DANIEL WELLINGTON SHEFFIELD .
Whilst the skies are stormy, I won’t let the weather stop me from dressing in my new favourite pieces. I’ve been on a bit of an ASOS whirlwind recently and this outfit features three of my most recent purchases … my duster coat (which you’ve probably seen here already), my new nude pumps (which look like a dream with my duster coat) and finally my new duck egg blue cigarette trousers. The combination is the perfect sunny day, pastel infused, ice-cream and candy style look, all my favourite summery tones in one outfit.
I’d been after a pair of pumps for ages and after serious debating on some Choo’s I was quickly satisfied when I found these bargains from ASOS, in the sale for £22.50. It was too hard to resist, and I was super pleasantly surprised on their arrival how perfect they were. Clearly all my savings then went straight into my new Celine Nano … well worth the savings.

What do you think of my pastel tone look? If you have any Brighton tips for Jase and I please let me know in the comments.

    . TAKE 10 & FREE PEOPLE .

I love this time of year, with sunshine and blossom filling our streets it makes for the perfect backdrop to an outfit post. Jase and I spent the weekend in Bristol a couple of weekends ago and I roped him into snapping some shots of my outfit whilst we were nipping into Clifton Village for the morning.

My outfit was super simple and the ultimate in weekend wear, a real reflection of what I spend my Saturdays in. The perfect skinny jean, teamed with some comfy slips on and finished off with a touch of leather. This time some double leather with my Topshop leather top & my new Free People cropped leather jacket. i’m not sure i’ve ever embarked on double leather before, but the duo seemed to work quite well together.
The cropped leather jacket is a little number from Free People who we’re collaborating with for this months project Take 10. Each of us girls got to pick a jacket from their range to style up for the feature. I opted for this simple black leather cropped jacket (which is now in the sale from £138 to £39 so an absolute bargain) as I thought it would be a perfect transitional number going into the sunnier months, the cropped cut makes it a little more summer suitable. Free people have some incredible jackets in the collection and a ton of different styles to choose from, you can check out the other Take 10 girls picks and styles below:

Which jacket would you pick to style up? How would you wear my cropped leather jacket for summer?

. CHRYSLER YPSILON ‘DARE TO BE DIFFERENT’ WITH STYLIST  .

I’m back home and settling in after my weekend away in Oslo with the girls. It was a break well needed and taking time out to have a little me time is something I need to do more of, especially when work life can be so busy.

Spending time with the girls is always so much fun and full of laughs and this weekend was no different, we had plenty of barbecues, prosecco and fun in Oslo, and the atmosphere was great thanks to amazing sunshine and Norway Day on the 17th.

I decided to also use the mini break to take some time out from my day to day routine and add a bit of adventure to my daily life. Fortunately Chrysler had the same idea when launching their new campaign to support the Chrysler Ypsilon (which is super cute) and asked me to get involved*. They’re supporting the model with their Dare to Be Different ‘Vice or Virtue’ campaign with Stylist magazine this month. The campaign is running all of May and into June and every day there’s a new challenge published on Stylists website (check it out here), tasking you with a Vice or Virtue ‘dare’.

The challenges range from adding a little spice to your usual daily life (like singing in the shower vs singing in the street) to bigger tasks to really step change your day (like asking for a promotion or even quitting work and starting your dream career). The best thing is that Chrysler have partnered with other brands to provide fab prizes for every challenge, like VIP nights out or gift cards to go the cinema etc. Every prize relates to the task in hand, and seeing as there’s a task everyday there’s lots of opportunities to win.

Myself and the girls have already taken part in two of Chryslers challenges since the campaign with stylist launched. Yesterday we embraced Chryslers ‘virtue’ challenge by going makeup free all day, it’s not something I ever do normally but I have to say it was quite liberating and by the end of the day I was feeling far more accustomed to my makeup free face. On Friday we also took on another virtue challenge, spending out first night in Oslo pampering ourselves ready for the weekend ahead (And Norway Day celebrations on the 17th), we manicured and pedicure, caught up on our fave mags and spent the evening treating ourselves to some well deserved TLC (The Ypsilon campaign gave me the perfect excuse to use some of my favourite pamper products too) . The prize for this challenge was a VIP night at Mahiki which would be fab, and our bare faced day could have won us a years supply of StIves goodies … Not bad eh.

So far I’ve embarked on two virtue challenges, so I’m pushing myself to step up a bit and take part in two vice challenges over the next week or so! I’ll be checking stylist daily to see what the new vice or virtue challenges are, I’m excited to see what I may end up doing!!

Have you checked out Chryslers new campaign or taken on any of the vice or virtue dares? Let me know which ones you’ve tried and importantly if you’ve won any prizes yet?

    NAUTICAL WHITES

    . WHITE MINI & CROPPED BRETON .

Today I’m flying home from Oslo after a fab weekend with the girls. A 5 day trip away was exactly what the doctor ordered and I definitely feel a little more relaxed now . The sunshine was a definite factor in helping me rejuvenate, Oslo wasn’t quite as hot as London but it was still warm enough to get our legs out and spend an entire day sunbathing.

. ZARA SKIRT £29.99 . TOPSHOP BRETON TOP . MULBERRY SATCHEL . MISS GUIDED PEEP TOE BOOTS .
    (ALTERNATIVE ITEMS BELOW)

This outfit was actually from a look I snapped back in the UK a few weekends ago, but is the outfit I sported yesterday in Oslo to make the most of the sunny weather and blue skies. This zara skirt is a real find in my opinion, at £30 i think it’s such good value for money and a great fit. I teamed the skirt with my Breton top from topshop and my new keepsake booties which I featured a couple of days ago. In this post I’m actually wearing my heeled peep toe boots from Miss Selfridge which I bought last summer in the sale. The final touch was my Mulberry shoulder bag which gave the look a more day time feel.

What did you get up to this weekend? Did you bare your legs in the summer sunshine?

  • DEBUT

    DEBUT

    . CELINE NANO .

Here it is, the debut of my new Celine bag. It’s a scary old thing, investing in something like a designer bag and then actually building the courage to wear it our and about. The fear of ruining it or someone spilling something on it is a bit over whelming, but it’s something you have to get over promptly.
A designer piece is a special piece, but not something to be locked away in a cupboard only for use on ‘special occasions’, life’s for living and special garments or accessories for enjoying. I’m so excited to have this little number on my shoulder from here on in … it’s the perfect accessory for summer too. I wonder if you’ll get bored of seeing it in my outfits soon. It’s going to be a conscious effort to make sure I keep using my trusted Mulberry collection as well as my new little Celine.

. URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTE III .

Well I can’t believe i’m only sharing this post and joining the ‘crew’ now, after over 2 and half years blogging and a whole load of beauty ‘must haves’ building my limited beauty knowledge. The Naked palette has long been a beauty blogger favourite, and actually a favourite of most girls in the UK. I was first introduced to the palette by a friend from work about 4 years ago who used it daily (the first palette) and made me fall in love with all the colours featured and the amazing smokey eye look. Whilst I loved the palette, I already had a lot of other palettes by Chanel and Bobbi Brown with similar tones which formed my daily beauty regime, so I never justified investing in the Naked set.

Despite never buying the Urban Decay palette, all three of their palettes seemed like they were made for me. You may have noticed that my daily makeup routine is basically shimmery shadows, lashings of mascara and a smudge of blush. Whilst I never bought myself the palette I always admired it and added it to birthday and Christmas wishlists every year, but after seeing the Naked III palette come out and falling in lust with the tons of shimmery rose, nude and champagne tones I decided this was the one for me, and it was about time I joined the cult of Naked lovers.

I was super lucky to get given this palette from Jase’s family for my birthday this year, Jase’s sister got the palette for Christmas and after I spent hours banging on about how much I loved it and wanted it, they surprised me with it for my birthday. Amazing right?

The colours are completely made for me, and I think of all the palettes this one is my favourite. The Naked I has some amazing basic colours, great for a more matte smokey eye, but given my love for a bit of shimmer on my eyes this palette ticks all my boxes. I haven’t done swatches or a ‘here’s how it looks on me’ or ‘here’s how to do the perfect smokey eye’, as I’m definitely no beauty blogger, nor have any real knowledge of how to correctly apply makeup, but I just wanted to share a new beauty favourite of mine and confirm for any of you also debating the investment, that it’s worth it!

Have you tried any of the Naked Palettes, which is your favourite. Please share any tutorial posts if you know of any?

    .  SUMMER SANDALS .

Seeing as this weekend is set to be the hottest of the year so far I thought it a good time to share a little summer newbie of mine. My keepsake Topshop sandals. Super simple, super chic and perfect teamed with a little floaty shift dress or tailored shorts & a cropped top.
. TOPSHOP KEEPSAKE PEEP TOE BOOTS SHOES £72 .
I wore these for the first time the other weekend when I was in Hampstead, you may have spotted them here. This weekend i’m over in Oslo for a girly weekend and to celebrate Norway day (TODAY), and these sandals are my right hand man for the weekend. I’ll be sporting them today teamed with my pastel pink leather dress from Zara (featured here) and my bright pink Zara coat. The sun is shining & it’s set to be an amazing day spent having a traditional Norwegian brunch, visiting the parade, lunching with my friends family and spending the evening at a house party, so I thought i’d dress up a little for the occasion.
What do you think of my new summer sandals, how would you style them?
