Over the last few weeks it’s obvious something’s come over me. I mentioned in a post a little while ago how I tend to not get much opportunity to dress up for a night on the town any more – usually it’s more cocktail bar attire, dinner and drinks, or a very accidental messy night after work. However this fact is clearly not stopping me from topping up my wardrobe with the most glitz and glam dresses I can find.
Ever since being gifted this gorgeous Lavish Alice dress, it’s got me in the mood for glamour. Before my holiday to Greece I did a bit of a H&M AW sweep, and bought a gorgeous body con dress which is Autumn perfection (i’ve not had a chance to wear it yet), last weekend I picked up my Faux River Island leather dress (see here) & yesterday (god help me) I went mental and picked up the REAL River Island Leather dress (reduced from £120 to £75 – bargain) ANNDDDDD the most gorgeous Topshop gold body con midi dress (will be showing you all this soon).
I don’t know whats happened, but these glamorous dresses are irresistible. naturally they’re designed for decadent evening wear, which if course i’ll give them. But I’m also going to be trying to get some day wear from them too, my River Island leather dresses will be perfect for a smart classy work look :D
. Lavish Alice Gold Print Dress £15 C/O . Marni Heels .
Anyway … so this outfit post is my Lavish Alice dress, but this time I’ve gone all out evening wear. In my other post (see here) I decided to style it down for a casual (?) day look but there’s no kidding anyone this dress was made for a night out. So voila.
I always think if you have a statement dress then accessories should be simple and non distracting, and so my Marni heels were the perfect match. I wore my H&M dangly sparkly earrings, which I actually picked up over a year ago to wear to the Media Week Awards, but they’re still in stock now, and I wear them LOADS.
This weekend I’m in Bristol with Jase & we’ve got a fairly chilled out weekend lined up. I think we’re going to pop to Clifton for some brunch and a stroll today, and hopefully a snazzy dinner / drinks in Bristol tonight – mainly so I can wear my new Topshop dress. Swoon.
What do you think of this Lavish Alice dress styled up like this? How would you wear it for a night out? Have a good weekend x

Beautiful dress!!! I love a little pizazz. I think I would dress it up with a printed scarf and a jean jacket to add a little edge.
