. MY SCANDI STYLE INSPIRATION: SIMPLICITY & INSTINCT .
If there’s one thing I love about scandi style it’s the relative simplicity, whether that’s in home decor, beauty and diet or personal style. Being in Stockholm this week has made me fall even more in love with everything scandi and spurred me on to think more simply about my personal style. Inparticular to go with my instinct more, to sport my favourite items with confidence and ease, and wear those things I love without too much fuss or concern. Cue one of my favourite outfits for a long time … my Zara knit dress & French Connection trench. Simple but effective.
. ZARA KNIT DRESS . FRENCH CONNECTION DESERT TWILL TRENCH . REISS FEDORA .
. SENSO RILEY HEELS C/O ALLSOLE . ASPINAL BUCKLE BAG . DANIEL WELLINGTON CLASSY ST MAWES WATCH C/O .
This ‘scandi inspired’ outfit features pretty much all my favourite Spring buys, my Zara knit dress which i’ve also featured here & here, my French Connection Trench coat which I finally gave in and bought a few weeks back and of course my Aspinal buckle bag which has become a firm favourite. Whilst much of the look features British Brands (with a touch of mass international with my Zara dress), I do feel as though the combo would happily fit in here in Stockholm and tick a few ‘scandi style’ boxes.
Not least of course because the look features a new Daniel Wellington number which in my opinion always delivers a Scandi vibe with it’s design & style simplicity (despite being a firmly British inspired brand). I’ve always been a huge Daniel Wellington fan as you may have already guessed, but the new Classy collection has been the latest design to catch my eye & join my collection, this crystal embellished tan leather St Mawes number is a real favourite, and whilst it’s slightly less simple than my classic variations, I love the little touch of bling and the elegance it brings.
What cultures do you tend to take style inspiration from, are you a scandi obsessive, a parisian admirer or even an East London / Village coveter?

I would say more scandi with a mel twist!
By the way, your site has been loading really really slowly since you updated the design – and as the pictures take so long to load it makes it really hard to scroll/read. Probably something you’re already aware of but thought I’d pipe up just in case x
