POSTCARDS FROM NYC (SHOT ON FILM)

POSTCARDS FROM NYC

35mm, Porta 160 & 400, Shot on Contax T2 & Canon 650

The back half of this year has been jam packed with travels and I have so much still to share with you, not just from my trip to NYC but also from my second trip to California this year. As far as NYC goes, I’m going to share an updated NYC address book with you and a mini guide to Williamsburg.

As it happens these days I seem to only ever have the drive to edit and organise photos or write these days … and unfortunately I have the mojo to write today but haven’t the energy to organise the photos for my address book yet, so for now I thought i’d share a little ‘postcards from’ feature sharing my film shots from my long weekend away.

Williamsburg . Dumbo . Midtown . Greenwich . Soho

I shot on both my usual Canon 650 film camera with my 50mm 1.4 lens,  but also my new Contax T2 – it was a hefty investment (£650 October 2019) but its fair to say the capsule size has made it a total essential ever since I bought it. This was my first roll of film and i’m so chuffed that they all came out okay.  You never know with film so it’s a relief to say the least. The camera was really quite a lot for a film camera, but it fits so easily into my bag and is actually super fun to take photos on given it’s miniature size yet powerful lens.
