The Pool Suite

If there’s one place you want to visit in those moments of serious ‘me time’ need, when all you want is sunshine and relaxation and a non negotiable ‘out of office’ (which trust me you’ll get, the wifi is limited), Kasbah Bab Ourika is the place to go, and specifically their luxury and unbelievably beautiful pool suite.

My gosh this place is a sanctuary. During our trip to Morocco in November and early December we spent four days at the hotel in the Atlas mountains, you may remember this post here all about the hotel itself, we were super fortunate during our trip to be upgraded to the hotels most prestigious room and my gosh it was a treat.

The pool suite itself is situated in the hotels gardens, at the furthest point of the hotels grounds meaning it’s views over the surrounding mountains are not only stunning, but also super peaceful and private, with little more than a vegetable patch for neighbours.

STAY AT KASBAH BAB OURIKA

The suite has a room on each wing, with en suite bathroom and bedroom views over the mountains and it’s own private infinity pool – which is where we spent all our time … it would have been rude not too. The room itself (much like the whole hotel really) is decorated with collectors pieces from across Morocco and the hotel owners own travels, vintage cameras, art work, beautiful Moroccan furniture, and classic Berber pieces adorn the room … the bedroom doors are pretty special too.

One of my favourite things about the suite has to be the sunsets, with probably the most perfect spot in the whole hotel to watch the long, warm evening sunset from, our private pool is where we spent most evenings with a bottle of wine before our dinner in the main hotel. Heavenly.

It’s one of those hotels, and stays which is a real treat and a perfect retreat, the pool suite itself is the perfect luxury base in the Atlas Mountains and one such place I’d love to travel back to for a little R&R.
