. NEW IN:  ZARA LACE UP HEELS .

So every now and then I have a  bit of a wild moment where I sort of binge online shop, i’m not the only one right? It tends to be once a month, and i’ll just super market sweep my favourite stores and frivolously purchase all the fab pieces i’d been eyeing up for a few weeks. One such spree happened a week or so ago, and the fruits of my labour (kinda) arrived at the weekend. This time I seemed to have a penchant for shoes and have bought myself three pairs for summer (you can see them on my instagram here), one of which being these incredible black suede lace up heels.

Whilst i’ve been harping on about suede and denim on my blog, my instagram and wardrobe has become a lace up shoe affair. I already had my Zara burgundy lace up heels (you can see them in a few looks here) which I literally am in love with, and since then I’ve picked up two more pairs. This Zara black lace up heeled number caught my eye as they are the perfect shoe-solution to my suede skirt collection. They add the perfect amount of hight, look utterly chic, go with everything AND were an absolute bargain (which is a relief, as the Chloe lace up alternative i’ve been eying up was definitely not). Who could blame me?

Are you loving the lace up shoe trend? What do you think of the shoe styled with the suede mini?

. SPRING ESSENTIAL : ZARA DENIM DRESS AND CONVERSE .

Today is officially the first day of the rest of my life. I’ve started the day with a fresh coffee, a gym membership sign up & shortly a nutritional talk and brunch with Deliciously Ella. Following yesterday’s post sharing my fitness resolutions with you all, I thought there was no way I could make any more excuses now i’ve put pen to paper and made my promises … so i’m starting today! I really want this to be a lifestyle thing, and not a fad bootcamp style fitness burst. I’ll keep you updated on my progress, but in the meantime I thought i’d update you on my other bold promise I made last week … no more tights and no more layers. And so far, so good.

This kind of ensemble is my absolute go to in the spring and summer months, a simple dress whether it be this season’s hottest trend (the denim button down) or a simple smock dress or shirt dress, teamed with a pair of comfortable and understated shoes, in this case my converse which give the denim dress a slightly more sports luxe vibe. I’m really finding my denim SS15 pieces a seriously good purchase this year so far, not only have the transitioned my wardrobe well but they’re ready and raring to go for the warmer weather too!

Now I’m just hoping for the sun to stay & my quest for fitness to start with a bang (a good bang)!

    . MY 5 FITNESS GOALS .

I wrote in a post a little while ago that I was embarking on a little bit of a health kick (you can read the post here), but in all honesty I haven’t done all that well in the last few months, whilst i’ve been juicing every now and then, I have to admit my quest to get fit has been pretty lack lustre. But with a holiday and bikini doom day 6 weeks away, I thought it really was about time that I started to get my butt in gear and get fitness back into my life, for good.

So I thought it was about time I took my own advice, and started to get fit, get healthy & most of all get going with it! Today’s post is sort of a little resolution post … it may be May, but it’s never too late to set yourself resolutions.

    TOP HEALTH COOKBOOKSMEDIAMARMALADE_ENERGY_BALLS-2

    #1 DRINK MORE WATER

First of all, I need to drink more water. I’m absolutely terrible at drinking enough water and it really affects me, most of all it hinders my migraines which are bad enough without dehydration playing a part too. I’ve always struggled to drink enough, but I really want to make a concerted effort to drink more now, not only to keep me healthy, but also for skin and hair hydration too.

    2 litres a day, here I come.

    #2 PILATES

A couple of years ago I became obsessed with pilates, I did it multiple times a week and would never miss my classes. I found it did absolute wonders for my posture (I really struggle with tight shoulders and back pain, and pilates helped a lot) and really helped build my core and generally tone me up! I loved tempo pilates which I felt worked my muscles a lot more than the likes of yoga or standard pilates. So as of tomorrow morning, i’ve decided to sign back up, bite the bullet and quit the excuses. Pilates here I come.

    # 3 GET SPINNING

God I hate spin. Really I do. The amount of classes i’ve left feeling like i’m going to vomit is madness, but there’s one thing for sure, it sure as hell gets you fit. And I think it’s about time I got my heart rate going, and so along with my pilates classes i’m going to give spin another go, and more than that, get back on my bike. I used to cycle a lot, just pottering around and cycling to the shops, and now the weather is finally starting to perk up I want to get back into this. I love cycling and I seriously love my bike (it’s a pink Pashli), so it’s about time I stopped being so lazy and got back out there!

    #4 MORE HOME MADE

Now whilst my fitness has been a bit lack lustre of late, generally speaking I am quite a healthy eater and always look to make home made goodness whenever I can. But beyond just home made meals, I want to ensure those home made meals are super healthy and cut out the things that make me poorly (I’m gluten intolerant, but sometimes don’t really cut out al the things I should). Deliciously Ella, Hemsley & Hemsley as well as a ton of other healthy food books I’ve bought are jam packed full of delicious and healthy recipes, for every meal of the day. Whilst I use these recipe books for dinner already, i’m going to start making healthy packed lunches and energy boosting breakfasts so that I have healthy food at hand 24 / 7!

In fact I’m actually heading to Shoreditch House for a Q&A with Deliciously Ella tomorrow, so i’ll be sure to get lots of tips to help me on my way.

    #5 LIVING THE 80:20 WAY

A few years ago I really lived my life by the 80:20 rule. Back then I didn’t know what this was, and to be honest I didn’t really do it deliberately, but looking back I can see that Monday – Friday I was pretty healthy, super active & generally ‘good’ when it came to eating, but come the weekend I totally let go, did what I wanted, ate what I wanted and indulged a little. Actually this way of living really worked well for me, it meant I was active and healthy, but never restricted myself and still got to enjoy my favourite treats and chill out on the weekend.

Since Jase and I moved in together, this has kind of fallen by the wayside, and I really want to get back in control! So, whilst i’m definitely not about to embark on a diet, I am going to start to control my diet and exercised a little more during the week, and save the indulgence (Pic N Mix is my absolute weakness) for the weekend.

MEDIAMARMALADE_CAREER_AND_BLOG_TIPS-40Nike TR trainersAnd there we have it, my 5 little fitness resolutions, nothing major, but I know these things really help me have a healthier and fitter lifestyle.

I’d love to hear about the things you do to keep fit, keep healthy & stay active? Do you have any regular exercise classes you love or a routine you live by?

. MY SPRING FAVOURITE: THE ZARA DENIM MINI .

Every now and then I become obsessed with a trend, we all know that this season suede and denim are my two absolute  favourites and if you look at my outfit posts for the last few weeks or my pinterest ‘style inspiration’ boards it’s s denim and suede love fest. There’s something about the trend which has truly stolen my heart and attention, and after my dedicated ‘how to style a suede skirt‘ post earlier this week, I thought it was about time I gave the denim mini skirt (and in particular this bargain Zara denim mini skirt which is an absolute must buy at £29.99) the same love and attention.

I’m sticking to my promise, and today bare legs are embracing the cold in honour of a firm SS15 favourite, my denim button mini skirt. The trick of the sartorial trade however, is trading in layers for one super cosy knit jumper, oversized of course, to keep the cold at bay! My mood isn’t all about ditching my winter wear in favour of glossy new Spring purchases, I’ve also rediscovered some firm favourites which I haven’t worn in a  while, namely my Aldo pointed ankle boots which were the perfect patent antidote to my sartorial lusting’s this winter.

What are your favourite and most coveted trend this spring?

    . MONOCHROME FOR SPRING .

Right, enough is enough, I can no longer deal with and embrace transitional or transeasonal dressing. There’s only so much tights & layering that one girl can take when you’re glossy new Spring wardrobe is eagerly awaiting wear, winking at you from your wardrobe every morning. What happened to the usual 2 week transition between Winter and Spring … it feels like we’ve been transitioning for about 10 weeks now and i’m finding the whole affair somewhat lackluster! My favourite spring purchases are patiently awaiting debut, and my skin is eagerly longing for some serotonin and most of all my body requires the fear or bare legs and bikinis to actually hit the gym and start getting ‘beach body ready’ (hehe)! So from hereon in, I am taking a stand, going on strike, rebelling against the weather … no longer shall I put up with grey skies, rain showers & wind strong enough to blow you over, instead I shall be living in ignorant bliss, pretending it’s summer & wearing all my favourite new purchases and no longer dressing in 20,000 layers! That is my mission statement. All rise.

First step in my rebellion is of course to ditch the layers, i’m over layering, yeah it’s cool, but i’m bored. Instead I shall now be opting for single layers, as demonstrated in todays outfit with my very simple, very ‘summer ready’ loose white shirt.  Yes I might be cold, but bugger it, we have to fight for the causes we believe in. And I believe in Spring Summer. Second of all, and thank goodness, is to finally ditch the tights, it’s time to shave the legs, let your netherlands breathe and just actually get some sunlight to those transparent pins which hold you up. Now, let’s be honest & realists though, i’m not quite ready to fully embrace the bare leg and skirt / short combo, so for now i’ll be sticking to my favourite jeans & trusty cigarette trousers to see me through! And finally, it’s time to get those summer shoes out, sandals, open toe boots & lace up everything … ankle boots are allowed, but for sartorial reasons only (aka, today’s post needed a statement patent bootie to finish things off).

There you have it, my mission statement, my promise, my ambition. Whilst today’s outfit is of course not a summer ready look, it’s my first ‘official’ step into Spring, yes it’s monochrome, but it ticks my boxes of no layering and no tights!

Are you utterly over transitional dressing? How are you working your wardrobe for this ‘in-between’ weather? Inspiration needed …

. 5 LITTLE TIPS TO HELP YOU HAVE A POSITIVE DAY, EVERYDAY .

Often with a busy life, lots of pressure and one too many stresses buzzing around your head it can be hard to keep a positive head throughout the day. And one thing is for sure, as soon as a little negativity gets in your head in can spiral into a terrible mood before you even know it. Sometimes once a negative mindset has set in, everything can become exaggerated and too much to handle, and you’ll find what could be a simple situation more difficult to deal with. In fact it’s actually quite crazy how your attitude, actions & reactions can differ dependent on if you’re in a positive or negative mood. Needless to say, a positive mood is always best, a positive mindset can make you calmer, more reasonable, obviously more happy & generally more open to positive things. Ever heard that age old saying that positive minds attract positive people, well I think it’s true, there’s nothing worse than a negative and grumpy person bringing you down!

It’s all well and good accepting that positivity is clearly a winning attitude to embrace, but sometimes keeping or even achieving a positive attitude can be a little more tricky than we’d hope. But there are a few little things which I find really help me set the day off in a positive mind frame, and most importantly keep me positive for the rest of the day.

So today I thought i’d share my top 5 tips to help you have a positive day, everyday …

    Cactus

#1 THINK OF 5 THINGS YOU’RE GRATEFUL FOR

Numero Uno, start the day in a positive way by literally waking up and taking check of all the positive things in your life. It sounds silly, but it’s an age old & highly endorsed little trick which truly can impact your mindfulness and positivity. When you wake up each morning, just lay for a couple of minutes and think about 5 positive things in your life which you’re grateful for … whether it’s the person laying next to you, the family you have around you, the roof over your head or even the cup of coffee you’re about to drink. They can be super big things or super small things, it doesn’t matter, just think of 5 things which make you happy. Before you even step out of bed you’ll already be in a positive mindset.

    #2 MAKE AN EXCITING PLAN

I always find that looking forward to something makes me feel excited, happy & positive, and so making plans and filling my diary with events, evenings out and holiday’s is a really easy way to keep me positive. It’s anything from filling my weekend with friends and family, to having a little city break or summer holiday to look forward to … again they don’t have to be big or expensive, in fact they can just be little things that you’ll do throughout the day (take a walk at lunch, have your favourite sushi lunch or meeting a friend after work for a drink) but just generally planning things that you enjoy & will look forward to is one little trick for keeping yourself positive.

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” Walt Disney

    #3 DREAM BIG

What’s more exciting than thinking about all those ‘wild’ dreams, ‘if only’ wishes and ‘one day’ bucket lists? Whilst it’s probably not healthy to live in la la land planning the near impossible (it’s fair to say we probably won’t be the next Alexa Chung or Stella McCartney), it’s so important to dream, and to dream big. I’m always one for living by the motto ‘anything is possible’, my dad hammered into me from a young age that there’s no such word as ‘can’t’ and so having ambition and dreams are really what keep me motivated & inspired (which in turn of course help keep a positive mindset). From the more expected ambitions like promotions and buying a house, to the more adventurous dreams like travelling the globe, starting your own business, having a family … they’re all important, so don’t brush them aside. Working towards a big ‘dream’, even if it just means chipping away at it slowly, is guaranteed to get you excited, happy and positive.

Whether it’s saving pennies every week & knowing you’re working towards something, starting to develop ideas or a plan for your dream career or even just spending time thinking about your wildest dreams, you’ll find yourself smiling and elated before you know it.

    #4 DO A GOOD DEED

Whilst good deeds are best when they’re selfless, there’s no harm in embracing the positive feeling that comes with doing a good deed. Whether it’s stopping to buy a Big Issue, buying your colleagues a coffee in the morning, letting someone more in need take your seat on the tube or something bigger like supporting a charity and raising money for a beloved cause, a good deed can go a long way in making you feel a little more positive and happy each day.

You’d be surprised how much doing something for someone else can really give you that feeling of happiness & positivity – why don’t you start today, by doing something little for someone else?

    #5 SPREAD THE LOVE

Spread the love is an all encompassing tip as it can take many guises – from spending time with those you love, to giving out a compliment every now and then to even giving yourself a little love and praise. Spreading a little bit of love will not only fill those around you with happiness but it will also give you a boost of positivity too. Give yourself a compliment once a day, tell your mum you love her, give a friend a big hug or simply say hello to someone on the way to work … spreading the love works a treat.

Since having little Ruby (our pup) i’ve realised how nice it is when people say hello or stop to stroke Ruby whilst out and about … being a busy londoner or generally conservative Briton often we’ll put our heads down and rush along with our own busy, stressful and crazy lives, but actually just lifting your head up and giving someone a smile or a little morning hello can make a whole world of difference. In London we’re especially bad at this, but just try being a little more friendly and see how it makes you feel (and best of all, being nice & friendly is totally and utterly free).

    #6 BONUS: GET ENOUGH SLEEP

my bonus tip (and a little cheat really as it’s not something you can do in the day) is just to make sure you are getting enough sleep, it’s disconcerting to see how much sleep deprivation can affect your positivity and your mood. I don’t often struggle with sleep, but I find myself if and when i’m a little lacking in restoration (a few too many late nights and busy evenings) that I generally just get a little mopey and down in the dumps. Having a solid 7 – 8 hours sleep each night really sets me up for a good day ahead … and it’s not just sleep. Just giving yourself enough T&C, feeding yourself right and generally looking out and taking care of yourself will naturally help keep you healthy and happy, and in turn far more positive!

MEDIAMARMALADE_HOME_DECOR-21There you have it, my 5 tips to help you have a positive day, everyday, keeping a happy and uplifting attitude and generally keeping any grumps at bay!

I’d love to hear your tricks for keeping positive & upbeat, do you also do any of the tips I mentioned?

If you had a read of yesterdays blog post (I hope you did), then you’ll have noticed the little sneak peak of this outfit which I shared with you all as one of my suggested styling tips for the suede skirt. Spring Layering. I’ve become a huge fan of layering, it’s the perfect styling trick to see you through season to season, and given Spring is still teasing us right now here in the UK, layering is the only way to give my Spring wardrobe some airtime, without freezing my butt off.

This look also encompases another one of my favourite ways to style suede, dressed down with a pair of simple converse & a casual sweater. Whilst it wasn’t a styling tip I pulled out in yesterday’s post, it’s actually one of my favourite ways to wear my suede skirts for a more everyday look. I really love styling down my favourite items to incorporate them into a more wearable ensemble, this look is exactly that, warm enough for this transitional weather, and of course every day wearable!

. HOW TO WEAR THE SUEDE SKIRT .

So it seems as though I have a little bit of an obsession with the suede skirt. After having a little browse through my outfit posts I realised i’ve been featuring the trend a fair amount on my blog, sporting the skirt in different cuts and colours and within different styles and looks. I’ve spent many an hour pinning my favourite looks, as let’s be honest, knowing how to wear the suede skirt can take a little inspiration. Seeing as suede is a hot trend this season, I thought i’d share my favourite ways to style the look, to hopefully give you guys a little inspiration for how you, too, could work the look.

    . MONOCHROME .

MEDIAMARMALADE_TAN_SUEDE_SKIRT-44 Denim Dress and ConverseASOS SUEDE SKIRTASOS SUEDE SKIRTFirst of all is probably the most simple of styles, and that’s of course to give the skirt a monochrome twist. Whether or not your skirt is black, tan or even bright yellow, styling a tan suede with a simple black, top, black accessories & black shoes (whether that’s chic heels for an evening out, or black ankle boots for a more dressed up everyday look) – the style is an easy win and requires minimal thinking.

    . Look 1 . Look 2 . Look 3 .

    . LAYER IT UP .

Suede Skirt & Trench Coat Suede Skirt & Trench CoatBlack Suede Button SkirtBlack Suede Button SkirtLayering is always my saviour styling trick, if ever i’m feeling a little unsure what to wear, feeling cold, or feeling fat, just layering up is always a really simple winner. Throw on a sweater, an oversized coat, your favourite boots & just get on with your day. Often these looks turn out to be my absolute favourites in hindsight. This season opt for a light weight trench, a simple duster, or if you’re really feeling adventurous a little kimono or double up with a suede jacket.

    . Look 1 – Coming soon . Look 2 .

    . GO OVERSIZED .

Black Suede Button SkirtBlack Suede Button SkirtYellow Suede SkirtYellow Suede SkirtMuch like the ‘layering trick’, opting for something a little oversized is also another firm favourite styling option. Again it’s a look I discovered really by accident, originally looking to style the skirt in a super chic ensemble, but the mood taking me to an oversized sweater. The good news is though, it works. Given how statement the suede skirt is, a simple knit jumper or an oversized shirt is a really great way of styling it up, taking nothing away from the skirt itself, but giving it a more effortless vibe. This trick is also a great way of transitioning your suede skirt from season to season, opting for a heavier knit in winter (I opted or my Rag & Bone knit above) or a lighter knit for Spring (my grey one is a little Brandy Melville number), come Summer an oversized billowy shirt would look brilliant with the suede, giving it a slightly more bohemian styling.

    . Look 1 . Look 2 .

. ADD KNEE HIGH BOOTS .

Suede SkirtSuede Skirt ASOS Suede SkirtASOS Suede SkirtASOS Suede SkirtASOS Suede Skirt

Knee high boots were big this AW14, mostly thanks to Mr S Weiztman, and the popularity of the boot spurred me on to buy my own pair. Not quite the £600 version I’d been dreaming off, but a great high street alternative from Dune. Anyway, the knee high boot was a new discovery for me and so I spent the last 6 months working out how I should wear them & what they work best with (there were naturally highs and lows – a low being the final outfit here which I don’t particularly like). The great news is, it turns out the knee high boot looks brilliant teamed with a little suede mini, slightly verging on pretty woman, but as long as it’s worn right (black tights work well to keep your modesty and keep the look on the chic side of the spectrum) it can look great. I personally loved teaming my black suede skirt with, black tights, my black knee highs and a big cosy white knit earlier this year. And there’s no reason why it can’t be transitioned into spring too (although my advice would be to keep things monochrome or tan if you’re going to ditch the tights, else you could end up looking like a bumble bee, ahem)!

    . Look 1 . Look 2 . Look 3 .

    . ACCESSORISE WITH LEATHER .

Mediamarmalade Tan Seude Skirt Mediamarmalade Tan Seude Skirt ASOS_SUEDE_SKIRT_MEDIAMARMALADE-8 ASOS_SUEDE_SKIRT_MEDIAMARMALADE-5

Leather is always good. No matter what the look a simple leather jacket, a pair of perfect leather booties or the ultimate leather bag can really finish off a look perfectly. A friend of mine is really into leather handbags, that she pairs it with pretty much every outfit and it works. You can’t go wrong with leather in all fairness. I’m always one for wearing contrasting textures and so mixing my suede skirts with a little leather is something i’ve sported a couple of times. My Reiss (Sheena) leather jacket looks perfect with the tan suede, adding not only a texture contrast but of course a colour contrast too. But equally a little black leather jacket would work with any cut or colour suede. But it doesn’t have to be as ‘stand out’ as a leather jacket, the leather boot & a chic leather bag (usually Lady Celine for me) also work perfectly with suede, usually giving the look a slightly dressier vibe & making the perfect ensemble for an evening out or a casual party!

    . Look 1 . Look 2 .

    . SHOP THE EDITS .

    [show_boutique_widget id=”250296″]

Shoe wise, I think you can style the suede skirt with a whole array of shoe styles, as you’ll see from my looks above I tend to opt for a simple black ankle boot, a pair of chic (and lace up) heels or of course the knee high boot. One style not overly featured here, but another favourite way of mine to style my suede skirt is of course just with a simple pair of converse & a casual sweater (you’ll have spotted the teaser look above which is this exact look, so stay tuned as this will be coming up in the week).

There’s definitely no right or wrong way to style the suede skirt, whether it’s laid back boho, dressed up with heels or just a slightly more effortless Parisian styling, it’s so versatile as a garment it really can be styled to suit any taste or style.

I’d love to know what you think of my looks and let me know which styling is your favourite (I definitely have my favourites).

. MY FAVOURITE THINGS THIS SPRING .

Todays post is a little bit of a funny one, as it’s a bit of ‘everything’ thrown into one, under the guise of my ‘spring favourites’ (which to be fair is exactly what it is). I’ve been getting into my home decor in a big way the last few weeks and starting to make some upgrades to my flat and the decor within in. Just simple little touches, but ones that seem to make all the difference. Of course this has spurred on a few little purchases which I thought i’d share here, but as well as that I wanted to share a few other things i’m loving this spring from new watches & pretty jewels to my Olympus Pen & a serious obsession with cactus.

So I hope you enjoy the post, it’s picture heavy and might just provide a little decor inspiration for you too. If not, then hold tight as i’m planning a mother little decor post featuring my dressing table area which i’ve been working on this week.

    . PRETTY KITCHEN WEAR .

Pretty Kitchen BowlsMEDIAMARMALADE_HOME_DECOR-39 Pretty Kitchen Bowls Pretty Kitchen Bowls Pretty Kitchen Bowls Pretty Kitchen BowlsPretty kitchen wear has to be one of my biggest weaknesses, if you were to ever visit my kitchen you’d be surprised at how many pretty little kitchen things i’ve collected over the years, from my ever growing mug collection, to my colourful & varying sizes of nibble bowls to just general pots, tubs, bowls & jars. You name it I have it. And it’s clear my family and friends know how much I love it as this birthday I received so many beautiful home decor and kitchen wear gifts, you’ll have seen some of my presents here but i’ve had even more since, from an absolutely beautiful Cath Kidston tea and saucer set (I must share it with you soon), to these beautiful and colourful Oliver Bonas printed bowls (i actually have the matching mugs too) and this gorgeous Anthropologie measuring cup set. I love all the colours, prints & designs, they make my kitchen far more joyful!

. DANIEL WELLINGTON CLASSY COLLECTION .

MEDIAMARMALADE_DANIEL_WELLINGTON_WATCH-17MEDIAMARMALADE_DANIEL_WELLINGTON_WATCH-15 MEDIAMARMALADE_DANIEL_WELLINGTON_WATCH-5I’ve always been a very big fan of Daniel Wellington, you’ll notice I wear one of my DW watches on a daily basis so they’re always in my outfit posts, and so when they released their new Classy Collection I was super keen to expand my collection  and get my eager little mitts on these embellished versions. Super chic & a little more dressy than the standard collection (which are my everyday watches), the classy collection has become my go to for evenings out or slightly dressier looks.

    . CACTUS .

    CactusCactusCactusCactus

I’ve developed a serious obsession with cactus over the last month or so, I think it’s that whole scandi home decor dream which has spurred on my obsession. I’ve now got 4 in my collection, these super cute and bargainess mini cactus’s from Ikea (they’re about £4 and such a good find) as well as a bigger cactus which takes of pride of place on my fireplace which my sister got me for my birthday. I find they add a really refreshing burst of nature into any room & just look a little quirky and cool!

    . COPPER HOME ACCESSORIES .

Again I think it’s the whole scandi design thing that’s triggered it, the understated simplicity yet standout, chic, vintage style of copper home decor accessories has really stolen my attention. I’ve started to fill my house with little copper trinkets, from my Oliver Bonas copper letters which you’ve no doubt spotted in some of my posts, to these beautiful photo frames & glass jar which my sister got me. Next on my list is a copper framed mirror to go in my bedroom!

    . PANDORA ESSENCE .

MEDIAMARMALADE_PANDORA_ESSENCE_BRACELET-3 MEDIAMARMALADE_PANDORA_ESSENCE_BRACELET-7 MEDIAMARMALADE_PANDORA_ESSENCE_BRACELET-12Generally speaking I keep my jewellery quite simplistic, I wear the same bracelets, rings and style of watch everyday, without fail. But I recently upgraded my Pandora bracelet for a little newbie from John Greed who stock the brand, one of their beautiful, super delicate and much smaller ‘Essence’ charm bracelets. I love the idea that this collection offers charms which have meaning and offer a little something symbolic, from wellness & health, to strength and confidence, the collection features tons of beautiful little symbolic charms. I personally went for the wellness and confidence charms, not only do they look super pretty, I like that they stand for two things which are important to me!

    . OLYMPUS PEN EPL7 / PANCAKE .

MEDIAMARMALADE_HOME_DECOR-29 MEDIAMARMALADE_HOME_DECOR-31 MEDIAMARMALADE_HOME_DECOR-32 MEDIAMARMALADE_HOME_DECOR-64My final spring favourite is of course my new Olympus Pen EPL7 Pancake camera, something which I bought as a little birthday treat and with my birthday money. It was a rather impromptu decision to buy the camera but I have to say after all the hype and attention the little thing was getting it was hard not to pay attention. Whilst I am a loyal Canon 5D user, this little camera makes the perfect ‘on the go’ photography option, the 5D is unbelievably heavy and so not the most practical thing to take out and about on trips out, to events and on holidays. I love my EPL7 so far, I think it takes fab pictures and the wifi functionality is obviously a clear winner for me! Now i’m just eyeing up all the accessories for it …

There you have it folk, a rather large round up of all my favourite spring things. I hope you enjoyed this type of post, i’d love to know if you did? What are you loving this spring?
