EDITORS LETTER
Happy Christmas & here’s to a blissful & successful 2019
Well after weeks of preparations, excitement and planning the big day has been and gone in a wonderful whirlwind, and now we’re in that post Christmas day lull, with lazy days spent finishing off the turkey, hours spent playing with and admiring all our wonderful presents, and afternoons spent in our pyjamas playing board games & finishing off the baileys. I absolutely love this time of year and despite the fact another Christmas has passed, the time off before January’s mayhem is the perfect time to be slow, mindful and just relax and enjoy the little things. I for one will be making the most of slow living before I have to return to city life.
I hope your Christmas and time off were everything you hoped, packed with love, laughter and too much food. I have just finished opening all my wonderful presents from my family and Jase’s and have been spoilt like you wouldn’t believe. Thoughtful gifts and luxuries from my favourite brands, Cowshed, Aesop, Whistles, The Hambledon Boutique & more, a surprise trip to Soho House Berlin and a beautiful Saint Laurent purse have left me full to the brim with gratitude, not to mention the fact I got to spend Christmas with my loved ones.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF REWARD
I know Christmas isn’t the best time for everyone, i’m lucky that for me it’s always a very special time with family and I feel very fortunate for that, so I hope that if you are going through a bad time right now, that you’ve been able to keep strong and can feel a renewed sense of hope for 2019. This year I decided I wanted to donate some gifts to women in need, and have created a big bag full to the brim with beauty products, toiletries and other bits that I hope can bring even a little something to someone in need this Christmas. It’s always good to be mindful of others, so anything you can do to help or support someone this winter, I’m sure they’d be so grateful, a simple cup of tea to someone sat out in the cold, a donation of unwanted clothes or belongings to a local refuge or people in need, or simply a small donation to a charity. Every little helps, and Christmas is the time of giving after all.
Merry Christmas everyone and enjoy the slow time before we ring in the start of a new year, new opportunities and new hopes, dreams and ambitions next week.
